At the beginning of this process I was hoping to learn more about the challenges that occur during risky birthing situations, and although I have learned a little, I am almost positive that there is much more information for me to learn. While I am still in the process of learning more, I am still focused on fundraising money for Project 7106 aka Clean Birthing Kits in Emergency Situations.
To us being able to help fund for Project 7106 is very important because its sad to think that some babies don't even have the chance to live in this (messy yet beautiful) world of ours. We are able to help them, but not enough people know about problems that are not occurring in their home communities; so that is what we are trying to do- not only raise money but also raise awareness for these Syrian women and babies. So far this whole process has taught me some very useful leadership skills like being "flexible". Some rules have changed on campus; like not being able to sell anything on campus; but this has taught us to quickly come up with a plan B but still being able to accomplish our overall goal.
